Idaho

This summer my dad an I made the trip to Wallace Idaho for their annual ATV festival. This is a great place to go riding, and I reccomend it highly. Below are some of the pics from the trip.

The Wallace Elks. This was taken just before the start of the festival.

Top of a mountain somewhere outside Wallace. There is a grave at the top where a man buried "mama." It is inscribed: "He who passes by this point, stop, look around, and thank God for the beauty before you. In memory of my mama."

Snow?! In July? This was taken on top of the mountain in the above pic.

Here I am on the Blaster (before it blew up). This was taken on the first part of the Avery loop.

What it looks like to ride through one of the 5 tunnels on the Avery loop. The first 25 miles of this loop is normal wooded trails that follow the Saint Joe River. You can top off your gas tank at Avery for the final 20 miles (an old railroad grade).

Another one of the Avery tunnels. As soon as you come out of the tunnel you cross a small bridge. There is a small creek fromed by the waterfall to the left of the picture.

Definately not a good place to run off the trail. This is part of the Avery loop. That's the Saint Joe River you see off to the left.

Me coming out of a tunnel.

ATVs in front of the Elks before the start of the parade.

Riding in the parade.

That's me competing in the obstacle course competition. I placed third in the 13-17 age class with a time of 1:00.8. The winner beat me by only .6 second. Hopefully I'll be back to win next year.

Another shot from the obstacle course. You can tell the Works shocks are doing there job, see how far the front shocks are compressed?

Coming over the double (only couple of R's that were set of for stadium racing did it, everone else took the low road). The Blaster blew up the day before so I had to ride the EX.

Me after a few runs at the obstacle course.

Taken on Champion trail.

Champion again.
